Terry Samai has been a registered massage therapist, RMT since 2001 graduating from Kikkawa College in Toronto. She is also trained in Hot Stone Massage, Cupping, Reflexology and Electro-Acupuncture, all of which helps relieve muscular pain. Her main goal for her clients is the reduction of pain, stress and improving the overall physical and mental health of her varied clientele.
Terry strongly believes that registered massage therapy can help but the ultimate test is whether you feel better. True healing comes from a partnership between the client and therapist. Terry's long experience from working in many different clinic settings (gyms, spas, physio rehab clinics, wellness clinics), strong skill set and caring attitude will ensure that you are in the best possible hands.
Terry has been practicing massage therapy since 2002. Massage Therapy is effective in reducing/managing both acute and chronic pain.
Massage therapy encourages healing by promoting the flow of blood and lymph, relieving tension, stimulating nerves and stretching and loosening muscles to keep them elastic. Massage therapy re-establishes muscle tone, reduces muscle spasms and can restore restricted movement by allowing tightened muscles to relax. Treating muscular imbalance and pain with massage therapy can improve posture and free your body to move more comfortably.
Terry has been offering Hot Stone Massage since 2004. Hot Stones are used during the massage to help ease pain and tension to help you feel much better.
Prenatal Massage is very helpful in relieving back pain from carrying extra weight in your second and third trimesters. Prenatal massage can also help you manage any discomforts and help decrease any swelling in the hands, legs and feet to help you feel much better.
Terry has been trained in Western Acupuncture at McMaster University since 2010. Western Acupuncture is the use of acupuncture needles in painful areas of the body while gently stimulating the needles with current to encourage endorphin production and reduce the pain signal. If you would like Western Acupuncture, please let Terry know before your session so that it is incorporated into your massage treatment.
